  1. Relay 0.2.0

Kaepora is now Relay. Same job, new name, new look.

    What's new

    • A new mark in the menu bar and a new app icon.
    • Five themes in Settings → Appearance: Brasil (the default), Relay, Native, Warm Owl, and Graphite. Each follows the system's light or dark appearance, or you can pin one.
    • The menu shows where links go right now, with a countdown and a cancel button while a temporary choice is running.
    • Choose Always, Next link, or 15 min at the top of the menu, then click a browser or press its number key. Arrow keys and Return always work; ⌥ and ⇧ still force Next link or 15 min.
    • The cursor picker leads with the link and takes number keys too.
    • Settings is a single pane: Routing, Picker, Appearance, Updates. First launch shows a two-step welcome.

    Upgrading from Kaepora

This release has a new bundle identifier, so macOS treats it as a new app. After installing, open Relay, pick your usual browser, and set it as the default browser again. Your old Kaepora preferences are not carried over.

Requires macOS 15 or later. Universal app for Apple silicon and Intel. Download the ZIP, move Relay.app to Applications, then open it. Signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple.

  2. Sic 0.3.0 — the Markdown preview is now editable: type, delete, paste, and use Bold/Italic/Code/Link/Heading/List/Quote on the rendered page, and selections highlight the matching Markdown in the source. Return continues lists and quotes; clicking a task box toggles it. Adds in-app updates: Sic checks the release feed once a day and Sic > Check for Updates… checks now. Requires macOS 15+. Signed and notarized; verify with the .sha256 sidecar.

  3. Sic 0.2.0 — Purah is now Sic, named for the Latin marker for text quoted exactly as written. New bundle identifier com.iamjason.Sic, so this installs as a new app beside any Purah copy; preferences and recent files start fresh. No other functional changes. Requires macOS 15+. Signed and notarized; verify with the .sha256 sidecar.

  4. Karaoke-style highlighting brings your instrument parts to life.

    • Sheet music, guitar/bass tablature, and note timelines highlight every sounding note, including chords and sustained notes.
    • A current-note readout shows the pitches or drum hits at the playhead.
    • Highlights follow the audio clock when you seek, pause, resume, or change playback speed. Paused seeking lets you inspect a chord before playing it.
    • Pausing captures the exact audio position, and a seek made while a new instrument's audio loads is preserved.
    • Active notes use a clear outline as well as color, and the current-note readout is accessible to VoiceOver.

The Mac app includes its audio engine and models for offline instrument separation. Requires macOS 14 or later on an Apple silicon Mac. The ZIP is signed with Developer ID, notarized by Apple, and accompanied by a SHA-256 checksum.

Notation is an editable transcription draft; review it against the audio. The native iPhone/iPad companion has a separate registered-device development build and uses a Mac for new audio processing. There is no public TestFlight release yet.

  5. Okarina 1.1.1

A guitar and ukulele tuner with a live pitch gauge and alternate tunings.

Requires macOS 14 or later. Universal app for Apple silicon and Intel.

  26. Purah's first release: a native Mac editor for JSON, Markdown, and text.

    • Open files exactly as written, with no automatic reformatting.
    • Format or minify JSON on request, preserving numbers, duplicate keys, key order, and string escapes. Undo restores the original text.
    • Show an optional Markdown preview alongside the source.
    • Use native document windows, Open and Save, Find, Undo and Redo, line numbers, and line wrapping.
    • All text processing stays on your Mac.

Requires macOS 15 or later. Universal app for Apple silicon and Intel, signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple.

Download Purah-0.1.0.zip, unzip it, and drag Purah.app to Applications. The accompanying .sha256 file verifies the download.

Supports UTF-8 and BOM-marked UTF-16 files up to 2 MB. JSON formatting supports up to 200,000 UTF-16 units; Markdown previews support up to 200,000 UTF-8 bytes. Preview limits leave the source unchanged.

  27. The first native Partitura release for Mac.

    • Separate a recording into drums, guitar, bass, piano, vocals, and other accompaniment.
    • Explore detected notes, practice with an isolated part, and export WAV, MIDI, and MusicXML.
    • Record with your microphone or open an audio file. The audio engine is included in the app.
    • Keep recordings and transcription results on your Mac. Optional iPhone and iPad pairing uses your private network and a pairing token.

Requires macOS 14 or later and an Apple silicon Mac. Intel Macs are not supported by this release.

Download the ZIP, unzip it, and move Partitura.app to Applications. Mac releases are signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple; the accompanying .sha256 file verifies the ZIP. Model weights are included for offline processing. Allow several GB of free space for the models and your recordings.

Automatic notation is a transcription draft. Review pitches, rhythm, and bar alignment. The starting meter assumes 4/4; guitar and piano separation and drum-hit detection are approximate. Processing longer recordings can take several minutes.

The native iPhone and iPad companion is in development and requires a Mac running the audio engine. There is no public TestFlight download in this release.

  28. Okarina now tunes ukuleles as well as guitars.

    • Added High G (G4 C4 E4 A4), Low G (G3 C4 E4 A4), and Baritone (D3 G3 B3 E4) ukulele presets.
    • Four-string layouts, instrument-aware guidance, and saved tuning preferences.

  34. Scrapper 0.4.0

Cosmo is now Scrapper, named after the flying salvage robot from
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and joining the Hyrule Compendium family.

    • New dimensional robot mascot in Brazilian green, yellow, blue, and white,
with sculpted J/G helmet initials and a matching Mac app icon.
    • Updated in-app idle, scanning, cleaning, and celebration animations, with
Reduce Motion support and paused motion while the app is inactive.
    • Renamed app, CLI (scrapper), Swift packages, Xcode workspace and scheme,
      repositories, website, and release tooling.
    • Existing Cosmo settings, protected items, saved scans, and cleanup history
are imported on first use. Existing Scrapper data is never replaced, and
      legacy data remains intact.

The app now uses com.iamjason.scrapper; macOS may ask you to grant privacy
permissions again. Install Scrapper.app and retire the old Cosmo.app when
you are satisfied that your settings have transferred.

Cleanup safeguards remain the same: files move to Trash by default, permanent
removals are identified in the review, and protected or changed items are skipped.

Requires macOS 26 or later. Universal app for Apple silicon and Intel.
Download Scrapper-0.4.0.zip, move Scrapper.app to Applications, and open it.
Signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple. A SHA-256 checksum accompanies
the download. Historical releases keep their original asset names and checksums.

  35. Cosmo 0.3.1

Cosmo now remembers your scans and gives you more control over refreshing,
    protecting, and cleaning developer data.

    • 156 cleanup targets across 19 categories, including nested Swift package
builds, XcodeBuildMCP workspaces, simulator devices, registered XCTest clones,
      and orphaned test folders.
    • Saved scans and focused refresh: reopen your last results, detect filesystem
changes, refresh an item, target, category, or the whole scan, and cancel work
      while keeping completed results.
    • Find and protect your work: filter by project, simulator, size, activity
evidence, or removal consequence. Protect individual items and whole projects,
and review growth since the previous scan.
    • Review every cleanup: separate Trash moves from permanent simulator
removals, follow per-item progress, review cleanup history, and retry items
      after refreshing them.
    • Stronger cleanup checks: revalidate selected items immediately before
removal, skip targets while their tools are running, and retain simulator
      runtimes using version-aware recommendations.

Files move to Trash by default. Simulator devices and runtimes are removed
permanently through Apple's simulator tools and are identified separately in
the cleanup review. Moving files to Trash does not free disk space until the
    Trash is emptied.

Requires macOS 26 or later. Universal app for Apple silicon and Intel.
Download Cosmo-0.3.1.zip, move Cosmo.app to Applications, and open it.
Signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple. A SHA-256 checksum is included
    with the download.

  36. Kaepora’s first public release: a small owl in your menu bar that sends links to the browser you choose.

    • Pick a usual browser, switch for the next link, or take a fifteen-minute detour.
    • Hold Option while opening a link to choose a browser at your cursor.
    • The menu grows to fit your browsers, up to two thirds of the screen height.
    • Optional HTML document routing and built-in update checks.
    • Routes locally without keeping browsing history.

Requires macOS 15 or later. Universal app for Apple silicon and Intel, signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple.

Download Kaepora-0.1.0.zip, unzip it, move Kaepora.app to Applications, and open it. Choose your usual browser and set Kaepora as the default when macOS asks.

Kaepora is experimental. Report issues in this repository. The application source is maintained separately.

  58. What's new in 0.3.0

    • One account connection is all Korok needs. Cloning used to go over SSH, so Apply failed with Permission denied (publickey) unless you also had an SSH key registered with GitLab. Korok now clones and pulls over HTTPS using the token you connect in Settings — no SSH key, no glab auth login.
    • Existing clones are migrated automatically. Repos already cloned over SSH get their origin retargeted on the next Apply (untouched if you've pointed it somewhere of your own).
    • Scope problems are caught at connect time. A token that can list repos but not clone them is now rejected when you paste it, with a message saying what's missing, instead of failing later mid-Apply.

Upgrading: this needs a token with both read_api and write_repository. If yours is read_api-only, Sign Out in Settings and reconnect — the "Create a token…" link pre-selects both scopes.

    Signed and notarized for macOS.

  59. What's new in 0.2.3

    • Automatic updates — Korok checks for new releases once a day and offers to install them in place (Install & Relaunch). Downloads are verified against Jason's Developer ID signature before installing.
    • Check for Updates… — run a check any time from the ⋯ menu.

    New in 0.3.0

    • Smart version cleanup: Recommended selection now keeps only the newest N versions of series like iOS Device Support, simulator runtimes, and Gradle distributions (configurable in Settings; 0 = ultra aggressive). Right-click any versioned target for Select All But Newest.
    • Renamed app, CLI (cosmo), and bundle id.

Plus everything from 0.2.0: 152 cleanup targets across 18 categories, project artifact scanning, interactive storage map, Trash-by-default safety.

  65. Signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple — download, unzip, double-click. macOS 26+.
